Common questions

Will this hurt my conversion?

Your checkout doesn't change at all. The check happens after purchase, under your store's name, and verified customers skip it on later orders.

What happens if someone fails?

The order stays on hold. You see the reason and can approve, reject or let the customer try again. Buyers who never finish get two reminders first.

What does the customer need?

A government ID and a phone camera. They can start on desktop and finish on their phone with a QR code.

Do you store ID photos?

Not on our servers. ID images stay with our verification provider, and the personal details in your record are erased after 90 days. The decision, time and order stay on file.

Does this make my store legally compliant?

No tool can promise that, and we won't. Carded helps you verify age and ID on your restricted orders and keeps a record of it. Check your state's rules with your lawyer.

Which products get checked?

Only the ones you choose. Everything else ships as normal.

Can I check orders manually?

Yes. You can approve or reject any order from the dashboard.
